| Chemical Properties | Soluble in water is orange-red, soluble in ethanol is orange, soluble in acetone and ethylene glycol ethyl ether. Its aqueous solution produces a reddish brown precipitate when added to concentrated hydrochloric acid; reddish orange-brown when added to concentrated sodium hydroxide solution.
