| Uses | The main uses of Acid Black (ATT) are for staining proteins on polyacrylamide gels, agarose gels, and nitrocellulose membranes. After electrophoresis, it is recommended to fix the proteins on the gel. The gel is stained with 0.1% Acid Black 10B in 7% (v/v) acetic acid for at least 2 hours, followed by destaining with 7% (v/v) acetic acid. The detection sensitivity is approximately 20% that of Coomassie Brilliant Blue R250. |
