The collecting power of isopropyl sodium xanthate is slightly stronger than that of ethyl sodium xanthate. It is mainly used as a collector for the flotation of various non-ferrous metal sulfide ores. It can also be used as a hydrometallurgical precipitant and rubber vulcanization accelerator.
